DETAILS:
La Saracena is a dream accommodation, located in a
romantic villa built on a peak on the rocky coast,
between the road and the sea , about 1 km from Minori ,
which is indeed a picturesque and lovely town with a
curved, sandy beach around the bay and an excellent
selection of seafood restaurants. In the summer there
are also boat connections for pleasant days out to
Amalfi, Positano, Capri, etc.
The villa is an attractive, old building with a Moorish
facade, a feature commonly found on the Amalfi Coast due
to the frequent invasions of the Saracens during the
14th century. It sits just below road level and consists
of three floors, with Casa Saracena occupying the ground
floor. The setting is incredible, directly above the
water and with magical water views.
Its south-facing situation and central heating in all
the rooms ensures that the property is suitable for both
summer and winter lease.
The entrance from road level is through a
remote-controlled gate opening onto the parking area
suitable for two cars. Access to the accommodation is
via the elevator or 58 external stairs that lead on the
delightful, spacious terrace. This terrace is really the
heart of the house, perfect for dining al fresco, or
simply lounging while enjoying the superb view of the
sea and the stunning profile of the Amalfi Coast. It is
adorned with clematis, lemon and banana trees, hibiscus,
mature violet bougainvillea, fragrant jasmine and
terracotta pots full of coloured flowers. Furniture for
outdoor relaxation includes long stone benches, sun
umbrellas, wicker furniture, sun-lounges and dining
table for 8 people. There is an outdoor shower.
A highlight of the property is also the hydro -massage
tub, exclusive to guests, placed to enjoy the splendid
views .
The water is just below the property, which has its
private access to the sea. It can be reached by elevator
to a lower level and going down a path of approximately
90 steps that lead to the bathing platform with access,
by ladder, straight into the crystal-clear waters. The
platform is shared with the guests of the two other
apartments.
From the terrace, 2 sets of attractive arched glass
doors give access to the accommodation and light up the
whole interior space which has been carefully designed
and furnished throughout with fine antique furniture and
quality pieces set on white hand painted majolica tiles.

From the terrace access into the bright and airy open
plan dining/sitting room with crystal- topped dining
table for 6 people, living area with two comfortable
sofas, telephone, TV.
Also on this floor are a small bathroom, with a wall
mounted, open shower, and the kitchen, decorated with
white and yellow printed tiles. It is small, but
functional, and equipped with dishwasher, 4 gas rings, 2
sinks, fridge/freezer, window with views and French door
leading to the terrace.
A flight of 10 open–sided steps leads to a circular
shaped lounge overlooking the dining area
This mezzanine floor houses a queensize bedroom with in
built wardrobe, a second small bedroom with a ¾ bed
(120cm wide x 180cm) suitable for one adult or two small
children, and a bathroom with open shower, WC, basin,
etc.
A separate bedroom with double bed with exterior access
only from the terrace has en suite small bathroom with
WC, basin and bidet but no shower or bath.
Access: remote-controlled gate situated on the
road level opening onto the parking area suitable for 2
cars. From the parking guests can either take the
elevator or the external 58 stairs to the terrace and
entry into the apartment.
Facilities: Hydro-massage tub, external shower,
washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, 4 gas
rings, electric oven, TV (Italian channels only),
central heating, telephone for incoming and outgoing
calls, elevator, parking area for 2 cars with
remote-controlled gate.
Services: English speaking manager on call. Food
delivery service, private chef and baby sitter available
for an additional cost .
Maid service: 4 hours midweek with change of
linen on Saturday. Mandatory cleaning fee, payable
locally: 100 euros per week. Extra hours on request on
confirmation of booking, payable locally. Approximately

situated in Minori town centre. Bus stop
marked SITA to Minori/Maiori (5 min) and

and hydrofoil ply daily (April- October)
from Minori to Amalfi (10 min), Capri (1½
h.), Positano (20 min.), Ischia (2½ h) and
Salerno (1 h.).
