These are two attractive old stone farmhouses, completely independent, sitting on a peaceful hillside near Siena, surrounded by mature oaks.
Both houses have been lovingly restored in traditional Tuscan style, using original materials and nicely furnished with antiques.
The main Villa is a charming converted barn, sleeping 7 (180 sqm) on two levels.
From a panoramic paved sun terrace, furnished with table and chairs and BBQ for al fresco dining, we go into the very attractive, well equipped country style kitchen with fireplace (oven, 5 ring cooker, fridge with freezer and dishwasher) and spacious living/dining room with satellite TV.
From the living room a flight of steps leads to the lower floor to the 2 double bedrooms and 1 triple room (a queen size bed + a single bed). One of the double bedrooms has ensuite bathroom (with tub and toilet); the triple bedroom has ensuite shower room + toilet; the second double bedroom has a shower room + toilet + washing machine opposite the doorway to the room.
Each bedroom has a French door leading to the garden. The elegant wooden floor in every room gives a warm and welcoming feeling to the guests.
The second house is divided into two apartments: the one on the first floor is lived by the friendly English speaking owners. On the ground floor, with the entrance by the pool there is the apartment Archi. This apartment (85 sqm) is very cosy and is excellent for a couple. The interior spaces are nicely restored with old original terracotta floors and exposed beams in each room. It consists of a large living/dining room with fireplace and a kitchen corner (4 ring cooker, microwave, small fridge and dishwasher); one double bedroom with a French door leading to the garden; one shower bathroom.
In the living room there are two French sofa beds available on request. Satellite TV. Baby cot and high chair available on request for free.
The grassy garden makes a charming setting for the shared swimming pool (open from the middle of April to the end of October), which lies on the edge of an oak wood. This is an excellent choice for a relaxing or touring holiday, as Siena is just 12 kms away and other towns as Florence (70 kms), San Gimignano (40 kms) Arezzo (100 kms), Pienza (66 kms) are all within easy distance.
The nearest Restaurant is in Santa Colomba at 1.5 km.
