Set in the village of Meina, on the provincial road, Violetta is a beautifully appointed accommodation on the water's edge.
The villa is a base for virtually any kind of vacation; meditative walks into the mountains, sunny afternoons by the private beach, day trips to the Borromeo islands. Sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing as well as excellent golfing are available in the area. In 1 hour by train, or by car, you can spend your day shopping in the "golden fashion triangle" in Milan.
Our charming accommodation (200 square meters) with private garden (1000 square meters) is situated right on the lake shore. Rose bushes, magnolias, azaleas and many other flowers adorn the garden where you can sunbathe on the large terrace over the small secret harbour. The lake can be easily accessed by the private small beach a few footsteps away.
Please take note: As with all in-town houses, the sound of people and traffic could be heard. The lakeside road is located behind the rental, but once inside the beautiful garden that ends in the lake you will not feel that you are in a noisy place. Only one room (the blue one) having windows towards the road could be noisy.
Furnished with style, Violetta is spacious and comfortable, an ideal rental for people who wants to be at walking distance from the centre of the village.
DESCRIPTION: Ground Floor
Cheerful living room with two large windows framing the view of the garden and the lake.
The dining room with table for 8 people is immediately adjacent to the living room. Efficient eat-in kitchen with 4-burner gas stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge.
First FloorOrange bedroom: spacious double bedroom with king size bed and beautiful lake views.
Blue bedroom: twin bedded room with beds of 120cm (for this reason twins cannot combine).
This last bedroom has windows towards the road so could be noisy. Bathroom with tub and separate shower.
Second Floor Pink bedroom: twin bedded room with large windows facing the lake (the 2 beds can be fitted as one double bed). Bathroom with tub.
All the bedrooms are provided with mosquito screens and fans. Bed and bath linen changed weekly. Beach towels are provided.
Please note:
All the bathrooms and bedrooms are upstairs therefore the villa is unsuitable to people with walking difficulties.
IN GENERAL
If you are staying in a resort a general hubbub associated to everyday life could be present and do not forget that in Mediterranean countries, the local people live their lives according to different timetable. In summertime music can be heard even though there are laws to control it.
The villa is 200 mq. The garden is 1000 sqm, all the bedrooms have mosquito screens. Cars can be parked inside the property.
Just behind the villa there is a good and inexpensive Pizzeria, and a sporting centre with tennis and pool is located just a few meters away.
All shops at 700 meters (of easy road), there, you can find good grocery shops and restaurants and there is also the possibility to order and take out delicious meals at the nearby gastronomic shop. The ferry to the other lake towns and islands docks is nearby. Two golf courses are within 10-15 minutes' drive, with several less than an hour away. Just 10 km north is the town of Stresa. Arona is 4 km south while Switzerland is just half an hour away.
