Il Frantoio

Located in the delightful little town of Chiavari, between Portofino and Cinque Terre, Il Frantoio is a recently restored old building, which for centuries housed an olive press. It was still being used to make olive oil only a few decades ago. The house sits on the sunny side of the hill, amongst the olive groves, in the hills of Chiavari.

 

 

Refurbished and furnished to a very high standard, the delightful accommodation is comprised of two double bedrooms and one twin, three bathrooms of which one with a tub and two with showers. There is a spacious living and dining room and well equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer, toaster, coffeemaker.

Adjacent to Il Frantoio are two smaller houses:

Belvedere sleeping two and Casa Giardino sleeping four. All three houses share the swimming pool. Each has a private furnished terrace or garden area.

Other amenities include video, satellite TV, radio, CD player, books, video films, washing machine and dryer, iron & board, central heating, air conditioning.

Outdoors you can enjoy a pool, garden and terraces, BBQ area, parking, patio/garden furniture.

The owners live in the family house nearby having now returned to live here after spending many years in London. He now specializes in marine painting and you can see examples of his work in the house.

Liguria is simply a wonderful region! You can breathe the traditions along a coastline steeped in history, beautiful ports, natural harbours, as well as sandy and pebbly beaches. The Villa is ten minutes walk from the marina and seaside facilities and is ideal for a relaxing holiday or to use as a base to explore the Italian Riviera.

DISTANCES:
Genoa is just 20 minutes drive, Portofino 15 minutes, boats to Cinque Terre from the port of Chiavari. A train line also connects Chiavari with the Terre Cinque villages.
