Creti Di Cortona
On the outskirts of Cortona is this beautiful old stone farmhouse divided into three spacious apartments, also enjoying the use of a large common livingroom on the first floor. There are also two independent stone cottages adjacent to the farmhouse.
Here you have the opportunity to stay in accommodation where much importance has been given not only to the ceilings, with their imposing wood beams and earth baked tiles, but also to the wood furnishings and interior decor, different in every room.
There is a beautiful pool in the grounds from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of medieval hamlets beyond the grain and sunflower fields. In addition mountain bikes are available to guests and for the little ones there is a swing set. Every apartment has its own outdoor space furnished with garden furniture, where you can enjoy an outdoor breakfast or lunch or dinner or simply relax. Guests can also use the wood burning oven and the barbecue to prepare delicious meals.

An ITALIAN COOKERY COURSE is conducted by the owners, Barbara and her mother Ornella, who will teach you to cook four splendid Italian dishes in an informal environment and have fun at the same time. You will make crostini and bruschetta, minestra di pane and pasta the authentic way with typical Tuscan fillings and delicious sauces. In addition, you will learn to make “Coniglio in umido alla Toscana” or “Coniglio, pollo and anatra” in the wood-burning oven or tagliata with green pepper sauce and baked vegetables and much, much, more. Dessert will include one of the Tuscan pastry specialities.
The cooking lesson is only available on weekdays at a cost of Euro 50 for the cooking course followed by dinner. Dinner only is Euro 20 and the cooking course without dinner is Euro 30. You will receive a cookbook including recipes of all the dishes made during your lesson, an apron and a certificate. All the ingredients are purchased each morning from local markets or picked from the kitchen garden . The cooking lesson starts about 3:30 pm and finishes about 7:00 pm and is followed by dinner.
DISTANCES:
500 meters from the farmhouse, near the village church, tennis courts are available for booking, while at 3 km distance is a beautiful corral with excellent horses. At 7km there is a golf course and a runway for light aircraft. Cortona 10 mins drive, Rome 3 hours, Florence 1.5 hours
