Rocchetta

Monterchi is a small hill town, famous as the home of Piero della Francesca’s painting ‘La Madonna del Parto’. On the top of the hill are the ruins of the ancient castle, part of which has been transformed into a delightful dwelling which we are happy to be able to offer our clients. The setting is very evocative, with the old stone walls of the ancient castle adding to the charm.

Entry to the property is via a lovely garden which embraces the house on three sides. Immediately outside the front door to the house is a veranda with barbecue, a very pleasant place for outdoor dining. The house is well divided, with the living-dining and kitchen to the right of the entry hall and the bedrooms and bathrooms to the left. Furnishings are very charming. The living room offers a fireplace and satellite TV, with sofas grouped around the fireplace, a dining table for 6. The kitchen is small but well-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, four gas burners.

In the night zone is one queen size bedroom with ensuite (shower), a second queen bedroom, one small twin bedroom more suitable for children, a bathroom with shower. Although there are three bedrooms and the house can sleep 6 people comfortably, we prefer to offer it for four adults and children, or a family, because the living areas are more suitable for a smaller number of people.
