This is a delightful historic farmhouse dating back to the 1400s, built on Colle Giorgio, a hill just outside Perugia. You will enjoy the best of both worlds here: a peaceful location in open countryside but a mere stone’s throw from the historic centre of the city. The house was converted into a family villa in the 1970s and in the last couple of years it has once again been refurbished and transformed into four sumptuous apartments, three of which are available for those wishing to spend a short holiday in Umbria.
What makes this property unique is undoubtedly the combination of tradition and culture with elegance, comfort and the very convenient proximity of the owners. The three apartments available for rental are furnished with antiques and decorated with frescoes depicting the paintings of the most celebrated Umbrian painters of all time.
The owners live privately in an adjacent wing of the villa, a guarantee of a warm, friendly Italian welcome and, if required, their help with any needs, suggestions for sight-seeing and cultural tours of the most interesting Umbrian towns. The owners also make sure that the kitchens will be supplied with everything needed for a hearty breakfast! Here you will experience a truly unforgettable holiday as you immerse yourself in relaxation, tradition, art, culture and style in a beautiful, verdant and ancient setting.
The three apartments are set up with the number of beds required by the guests (2+1 beds, or 4+2 beds). Amenities include satellite color TV, spa or whirlpool tub, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, 4-burner gas stove, safe, American coffee maker, living room with fireplace – all in an environment surrounded by a garden with reserved parking place. Outdoor facilities include a barbecue, a cabana by the pool with relaxation area, ping-pong table, clothes dryer, swimming pool with salt water and wifi internet point.
In the bedrooms in Perugino and Bonfigli and in one of the bedrooms of Pinturicchio you will find a very romantic ceiling: by day it is a normal white ceiling but…. by night it becomes a sky full of thousands of stars with some of the constellations very visible! Just like sleeping under a romantic starry sky which, it has been proven, improves sleep quality of big and small people alike.
